Lauren Schlepp
Lauren Schlepp, is a dynamic multimedia artist and curator based in Oklahoma City, whose artistic style manifests itself as bold geometric paintings that play with patterns, scale, and color theory, as well as detailed collages and “gem paintings.”
Lauren was born in Denver, Colorado, and moved to Oklahoma when she was 3 years old and has been influenced by the arts in Oklahoma for most of her life. She attributes her interest in the arts to having very supportive parents and art teachers who encouraged her avant-garde way of experiencing the world and who exposed her to many unique cultures and creative opportunities.
Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Museum Studies in 2016 and has been working in the museum/nonprofit sector ever since. She loves keeping up with the ever-changing pulse of the arts community and participating in as many unique opportunities as she can find.
She is heavily involved in volunteering with different arts organizations in OKC including the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition, and is a regular participant in shows such as Allied Arts ARTini, OVAC 12”x12” fundraiser, Edmond Arts 5”x5” fundraiser, and various exhibitions at the Paseo Arts and Creativity Center.
She is the program coordinator for the Art Exhibitions at Radiant Healing Arts Center, with the goal of providing an accessible avenue for local artists to display their artwork in a casual and approachable setting.
